Abstract:
Research analyzes and compares legal safeguards that are in place in international organizations falling under the United Nations system on the one hand and the European Union on the other hand in order to guarantee international character of their officials, i.e. their functioning independently of national governments or any other authority. The study intends to establish whether present regimes in the two systems are comparable and / or whether different experiences in one system could potentially be used to improve the other system.
