Abstract:
This research examines current and potential legal approaches towards the co-existence of Genetically Modified Crops and non-Genetically Modified Crops in the European Union and the USA. The research will figure out the similarities and differences of the legal regimes through comparison of core legal aspects, like the aim of the co-existence regulations, the regulatory model including implicit regulatory approaches, and liability provisions. Socio-cultural background factors determining the difference in legal approaches in the EU and the USA will be considered.
