The single member company and a group of companies in European perspective

Abstract:
The research concentrates on the 'classic' single member limited liability company (single shareholder/director) and the single member limited liability company as part of a group of companies. Het purpose of the research is - using a comparative perspective - to determine whether or not harmonizing company law regarding the single member limited liability company is useful and if it will simplify incorporating a company within Europe. Also, the research will see to the question if there is a need for European law on groups of companies in this respect.
