Extraterritorial jurisdiction in the United States and Europe: A quest for reasonableness

Abstract:
Dit onderzoek gaat na of er een internationale norm van redelijkheid bestaat in het uitoefenen van unilaterale extraterritorial jurisdictie. Het onderzoekt spitst zich toe op rechtsmachtclaims van de Verenigde States, de Europese Unie en de EU-lidstaten. Het bestudeert extraterritoriale rechtsmacht in verschillende domeinen, in het bijzonder internationaal humanitair recht, mensenrechten, mededingingsrecht, export controls, discovery en financieel recht.
