Abstract:
This project is concerned with the potential of general principles of law to operate as a tool in the conduct of international legal relations. It posits that fundamental conceptual confusion and uncertainty has resulted in the underuse of general principles as a source of international law. Accordingly, it seeks to advance a comprehensive theoretical framework for the interpretation of such principles and their application to current international legal problems
