Abstract:
An empirical and comparative legal research project into the significance of macro effects and societal side effects in civil liability law and administrative law. On the basis of empirical research methods, case law analysis and (external) comparative research, it is investigated whether, when, why and how macro effects and other societal side effects play a role in civil liability law and administrative law. Relevant aspects in that regard are which legal principles determine whether and how a judge should account for such effects and how judges do so in practice.
