Abstract:
The prime objective of the research is assessing the legitimacy of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting frameworks for corporations in addition to the broader perspective of examining voluntary and mandatory CSR transparency regulation for corporations on international, supranational and national level. The added value is that it will assess whether the chosen frameworks effectively respond to the input, throughput and output legitimacy theory and thereby it touches upon the debate on how (soft and hard) law contribute to the legitimacy found in the examined frameworks.
